About Thespian Heights
Discover our history, mission, and the passionate team behind Thespian Heights Acting Academy.
Our History
Thespian Heights Acting Academy was founded in 2005 by renowned actress and director, Evelyn Reed. Evelyn envisioned a school where aspiring actors could receive comprehensive training in a supportive and challenging environment. Frustrated with the limitations of existing acting schools, she set out to create an academy that focused on both the technical aspects of acting and the artistic development of each individual student.
Initially, Thespian Heights operated out of a small studio in downtown Los Angeles. With a dedicated team of instructors and a small but enthusiastic group of students, the academy quickly gained a reputation for its high-quality training and personalized approach. Word of mouth spread, and within a few years, Thespian Heights had outgrown its original location.
In 2010, the academy moved to its current state-of-the-art facility in Hollywood. The new location provided ample space for classrooms, rehearsal studios, and a fully equipped black box theater. This expansion allowed Thespian Heights to offer a wider range of courses and programs, attracting students from all over the world.
Over the years, Thespian Heights has become a leading acting academy in Los Angeles, known for its commitment to excellence and its ability to prepare students for successful careers in film, television, and theater. Our alumni have gone on to star in major productions, win prestigious awards, and make a significant impact on the entertainment industry.
The legacy of Evelyn Reed continues to guide Thespian Heights. Her vision of a nurturing and challenging environment remains at the heart of the academy's mission, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
